Hi. This message is from Tim Johnson, owner. Until further notice Church Mouse Cottage is not available for guests. This is coincidental to the comments from Manfred. We can strongly recommend guest our new product "Cupid's Nest" instead.

Hi Tim
Good to see you are good at editing and taking NEGATIVE comments out of guest book .Fact remains what you are offering is substandard ChruchMouse is nothing like you describe it

Hi Manfred. Good to see you are returning to the guest book to read. yes I did remove your comment. We take on board your criticism re the burnt ironing board and the garden needing weeding. We are presently dealing aggressively to both issues you mentioned previously. I removed your comment because I felt it unfair as you visited the cottage with me to assess whether you wished to stay. I understand the burn stain on the ironing board wouldn't have been noticed until later, however the garden was what you saw. We simply don't accept your recent statement re Church Mouse being substandard. As for our description, apart from the burn mark, the weeds and the need for roses to be dead headed, it is exactly as described. For the record, I have NEVER had any reason to remove any negative comments in the past.- Tim Johnson owner

Just a shot in the dark, but, my grandfather was from Ross and his name was Francis Ambrose Hudson and he died in NSW in 1930. Guessing he was born in the 1880's.  Was a master mason.  I'm trying to research history on family - could there be any connection here with Hudson cottage?

We absolutely loved our recent stay at Captain Samuel's cottage whilst we were in Ross...
We were travelling in a group of five and we all agree it was one of the highlights of our trip.
Thank you so much! We shall return.

We’ve had a wonderful relaxing stay at the end of our tour of Tasmania. The cottage has been perfect. Lots of space for the girls to play and us to relax. We’ve enjoyed experiencing some of Ross’s history. Thank you.

Thanks to you for your hospitality. My husband and I enjoyed ‘Miss Annies Room’. I am sure Miss Annie was a genteel kind woman in her day with a lovely sense of humour. We also enjoyed sitting in the sitting room reading books and my husband enjoyed the port and chocolates. A lovely breakfast awaited us in the morning. I am an old fashioned and a romantic sentimental person. I enjoyed the lovely décor.

Hi Tim, We had the BEST time in your amazing little Hudson Cottage. It was good fun to see the photos & read all about your hard work in restoring it to its perfect state now. We felt like we were part of history by just staying the night. A very unique experience. Your cottage and beautiful Ross are definitely on our list for another stay. Have already recommeded you to our friends. Excellent work, you must be very proud, regards, Tracey & Gerry

Loved your gorgeous cottage, and the whole village of Ross. We only had one night there, but could easily have stayed longer, and will definitely return in the future. Congratulations on all your hard work with your "bluestone" cottage - we loved it.

Thanks very much for your kind words. For the reader, your reference to the "Bluestone" cottage is Hudson cottage which s sandstone but used to be painted blue. it was advertised as  "Bluestone" cottage by the real estate agents!. Love to see you return to stay with us- Tim
